“The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step,” said Lao Tzu.
It took me almost a decade from the time I had the idea of ‘theLie Llama’ and it took my co-host, Gunjan, and I about six months of deliberations to take the first step. Then it took us about four months of recording, re-recording, and yet re-recording before we released our pilot episode of the podcast a year go!
We did not, and still do not, have an end goal in mind. Just an urge to explore the topics that we would debate and discuss when we would connect occasionally before we launched the podcast. The first anniversary of the podcast arrived faster than I had imagined. It feels like we have just started to warm up and get comfortable.
The journey of self-discovery and self-realization is long and arduous. As Mooji said, “Step into the fire of self-discovery. This fire will not burn you; it will only burn what you are not.” We plan to continue on this journey as long as we can with twice-a-month episodes or a third episode if we have a guest that month.
In this one year, our YouTube channel has gotten more than 430K views and about 400 followers. Other platforms, like Spotify, also show healthy traction. The list of topics continues to grow, and we enjoy having guests on our show, who are willing to walk a mile with us.
